Restorations...

   This poor damaged plaster dog was brought to me for "emergency" repairs; in pieces for 25 years, his owner had despaired of ever seeing him in one piece.

   Half of his face was missing so I carefully created and modelled new ears, nose, mouth and whiskers, and then put his body back together. The finished result was greeted by his owner with 

tears of joy.

   I have also enjoyed restoring two unusual C18th French religious icons. These painted plaster figures were badly damaged and needed complete restoration. This was a delicate balance which needed a sympathetic approach to preserve the antiquity of the icons.
